South African Dump
Each state, in
fact, each country has its own ways of dealing with illegal slot
machine gambling. Some put the offenders in jail, some seize the slot
machines and then put them in storage only to sell them at a later
date to benefit the state, and some dump them down a hole in n the
ground and press charges. South Africa would be one of the latter.
Springbok,
South
Africa,
is getting tough with their slot machine bandits. Through three recent
raids, the police found three illegal slot machine parlors - and they
weren’t pleased. They took the machines and are planning on arresting
all of the people involved in the illegal slot machine business.
Then they took
the machines and dumped them down an old mine shaft. All in all there
were 40 slot machines, and one by one they dumped them down the shaft.
They though that this might keep people from spending their money on
slot machines if they knew that once they were confiscated they would
be dumped down the shaft.
