Locals are Ready for Enoch Reserve Casino 

The Enoch Reserve’s River Cree Resort and Casino is expected to be a huge draw for the locals. The casino is expected to be up and running by late October, and locals are already excited about the prospect. Resort manager Brian Lee said that he believes that it will end up being the “premier destination resort in all of Western Canada,’ especially since it will be the largest casino in the area.  

The River Cree Resort is going to be the largest casino in the area, outpacing the Yellowhead Casino – which is currently the city’s largest. The new resort is going to be at least a third larger than the existing one, and is costing over $170 million to build. The new casino will have 600 slot machines, as well as 40 gaming tables. Depending on how business goes, the group may increase the number of slot machines to 1,200. The slot machines will pay out 92.4% of the money they are going to bring in, which is the standard established by the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission. 

But slot machines are not the only draw for the locals – they will have more than slots to pick from. There will be the slot machines and gambling tables of course, but there are restaurants, hotel rooms, a sports bar and grill, hockey rinks with bleacher seating, and plenty of games to watch as well. A spokesperson for the group says that they already have over 700 hockey players signed up to play on the rink. The hotel will have a swimming pool and fitness room, really leaving nothing up to chance.
