Idaho Eagles Club Raided

The Idaho Eagles Club was raided and all kinds of gambling paraphernalia was found on the premises. This is the second time this year that officers have closed down a slot machine and gambling parlor, the first was Jack’s Sports Grill in Post Falls which was holding a Texas Hold’em tournament.  In late 2004, the police raided thirteen bars around the state and seized 50 slot machines that were being used for illegal gambling.

The Eagles Club was just one more. The police seized seven illegal slot machines, as well as games, and took paperwork that showed everyone who was paid out and how much they were paid out. When the slot machines were seized they held several thousands of dollars in them, and they found several envelopes with cash in them that were waiting to be picked up by winners on Sunday. It seems that they paid out winnings on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

No one was arrested, and it looks as though the club’s BOD will face misdemeanor charges for their roles in the illegal gambling operation. The slot machines are not actual casino-style slot machines; rather they are what is known as “gray machines”. All that means is that the players rack up credits and points, but are still illegal as they are a game of chance and people cannot pay to play.
