Downtown Greenville in Mississippi is getting a much needed facelift. The town was recently refurbished, from the buildings to the streets - everything is getting an overhaul. But now they have something else to look forward to, the opening of the Delta Blues Casino and the Bali Hai casino. The two casinos are going to add a lot to the town. 

Four years ago, the Mississippi Gaming Commission had given permission to the slot machine and gambling casino to go ahead and get started with their construction. However, four years passed and nothing happened, no slot machines, no casino. Finally, the Commission revoked their earlier approval - assuming that since nothing had been dine that nothing would be done any time soon - and they could leave that area open for someone else who wanted to bring in slot machines, and might actually do it. The Delta Blues Casino is now trying to give a show of good faith by setting a groundbreaking date and following through on it.  

If it finally opens, there will be more than just slot machines for people to play with - there will be a water park for the kids, more businesses and jobs for the adults, and improved roads and tax breaks for everyone.
