Bay St. Louis is Open for Business

Bay St. Louis has a reason to celebrate today, they have jobs for a good chunk of their population, and they have more revenue coming in again as well. When Hurricane Katrina blew through the area last year, it closed all of the twelve casinos that were operating at the time, as well as another one that had been scheduled to have their grand opening in the near future.

But that is all changing now. Hollywood Casino is the eighth casino to reopen, and it brought 950 jobs back with it as well. The casino is a temporary, multi-million dollar, land-based casino that offers a large number of guest rooms, 900 new slot machines, 20 table games, and a six table poker room as well. It has three restaurants already opened, and another one to open with the golf course in mid-October. It also have meeting rooms and venues to hold whatever might blow in this time.
