Bar Hopping Big Business

David and Lesley Brewis know how to make money. They just go bar to a bar and earn it. In London, they have a game called “the Big Match”, and it is a quiz game that is played on slot machines in bars and pubs across the country. This couple, from Hammersmith, England, won a total of $19,000 playing this game. How’d they do that?

Simple, they took a trip based on the locations of the machines, and went bar hopping. They discovered these slot machines called itboxes that were in thousands of locations. They took a ten week trip and went bar to bar, pub to pub, playing these high tech slot machines. The game pays by giving you $38 when you answer a series of questions- general knowledge - and play a set of skill games.

The couple played successfully as they went from place to place, and they acknowledged that although they did not cheat, some of the questions came up over and over at different locations. The game manufacturer has removed the slot machines from the pubs, not because of the couple’s windfall, but because that is what they do on a regular basis.
