Almost Have Slots, Let’s Move on to Tables

It seemed as though the race tracks that are vying for slot machine licenses, might have had nothing else on their minds. After all, they have waited eighteen months to have slot machine licenses issued – and they still don’t have them. Yet, when the Gaming Control Board asked if they might be prepared to move on to table games from slot machines, they all said yes.

It seems that the Gaming Control Board members are not the only ones looking to find the next revenue – considering all of the states around them that offer slot machines as well – Pennsylvania needs to up the ante and bring in table games as well to keep their numbers up.

Since it took so long to get slot machine licenses, that by the way, they still don’t have, it would seem that there is no rush to get table game licenses. However, the board wants to be sure that when and if they decide to move that direction, everyone is prepared. They don’t want to have to start from scratch like they did with the slot machines.

Most times they are actually done in conjunction with each other – bring in the slot machines and you bring in the table games. Pennsylvania may have decided to go the long way around at getting in their table games, but who is to say if they will even bring them in. If so, it would be a first for the gambling industry.
