Mohegan Slot Machines Bring $39 Million 

No one knew what to expect with the advent of slot machines, but I am assuming it is not what they got. The Mohegan Sun’s gamblers spent $39.3 million into the slot machines in just the first seven days. The slot machines have been humming non stop, and the figures show that the players just cannot get enough. 

The slot machines are paying out $0.90 on every dollar on average, which means the players have won back $35.3 million from the slot machines. The players cannot believe how well they are doing as well.  

The state isn’t complaining either, as the slot machines have already generated enough revenue to give $1.4 million to property tax relief, $163,000 for local government, $204,000 for economic development and tourism, and almost $490,000 for the state’s horse racing industry. The slot machines also pay 55% of whatever money the slot machine casinos keep in taxes to the state of Pennsylvania.
