Governor Bush Out, Slot Machines In

The state of Florida is truly looking into a new era of slot machines and gambling. With Governor Jeb Bush leaving, their majority opposition will go as well. Bush has been known as being a slot machine casino opponent, and has blocked their attempts anyway he knew how. However, he is now leaving, and the slot machine casinos are breathing a sigh of relief.

With the first slot machines starting to run in December down in Broward County, many think that it is just a matter of time before the slot machines spread across the state. They say that with a new governor coming in they have a better chance at the untapped market of senior citizens and retirees that Florida is so famous for.

The amount of tourists alone that come to the state could easily fund the slot machine industry, and slot machine casino owners know this.
Slot machine operators think that after the state sees how well they are doing in Broward County that they will consider allowing slot machines and racinos to spread. Both candidates for Governor are pro-slots, obviously with varying levels of allowance, but neither has said that they are anti-slots at this point.

Between the Jai Alai and greyhound tracks, the state lottery, and the Indian reservation casinos, Florida already has quite a bit of gambling going on. This will just take it to another level.
