Valley View Expansion
The Valley View Casino is opening their new 62,000 square foot
expansion of their casinos tomorrow, and they could not be happier.
They have been working on it for awhile, and could not wait to open to
show their neighbors what they have been working on.
The San Pasqual Tribe owns and operates the casino, and they say that
this expansion is only half of what they are planning. The entire
expansion will ultimately cost $114 million, and will have more slot
machines, a steakhouse, an ice cream parlor, and a coffee bar.
San Diego County just saw new slot machines come into Santa Ysabel,
and now with this opening, slot machine player have some alternatives.
The new expansion has just added 1,306 slot machines, and the second
half of it will contain even more.
The tribe says that it was needed as they had outgrown their old
casinos, and wanted to keep current. They say that with their
neighbors growing they had to stay competitive, so they chose to
expand their existing facility in two phases. Early tomorrow morning,
existing gamblers will have to leave, there will be a ribbon cutting
ceremony, and then gamblers can go back in.
