Rams Not Worried About Slot Machines

The St. Louis Rams are not concerned about slot machines; they don’t think they will be a problem. This is a far cry from the reaction that the Pittsburgh Steelers had to bringing in slot machines near their stadium – they said that the amount of traffic will be terrible on game days. The Rams don’t seem to care.

Pinnacle Entertainment is building a new casino with 2,000 slot machines and 40 table games, right by Edward Jones Dome – where the St. Louis Rams play. They say that since they have co-existed for so long with another Pinnacle Casino, the President Casino, they don’t see why this would be any different for them.

They say that they haven’t had any traffic problems so far with the President Casino’s slot machine patrons coming in, so they find the fact that another casino coming in would be a problem really a non-issue. They say that on game days they are probably the ones who will be affecting their traffic patterns, not the other way around.

The owner of the existing casino said that having the team there actually helps him out a lot. He said that Sunday mornings are usually slow for him, but on game days he gets a little boost in revenue. He said football fans are table game people, not slot machine players. He said it actually increases his revenue by about 35%.
