Horses Should Support Online Gambling

Horse racing is considered by many to be a dying sport. Not only that, but with the number of tribal casinos that have come into the state of California over the years, and the increase in slot machines that they are vying for, it is about to get a whole lot harder.

The horse racing industry has been decreasing by the 2% every year since 1990, and they say that they cannot continue unless they are allowed slot machines to help bring in more income. The problem with this is that the state of California has given permission to the tribes to have an exclusive right to all slot machines in the state, in return for the tribe giving revenue to the state.

Then you add onto that fight the one they are having with trying to keep internet gambling illegal, while trying to give themselves an extension, and they are truly being pulled in all directions. They are currently winning the online gaming war, but not for long. They now have to fight the World Trade Organization in order to win, and that is probably not likely.

The problem is that the World Trade Center has decided that for the US to block online casino gambling and not stop online horse racing, is against the laws of the WTO. They are essentially working to hurt the industries of the other countries. The WTO said that they could continue to block online gambling, but that they would need to stop the horse racing as well.
