Harrah’s Gets Deal

Harrah’s Entertainment has signed a deal with PokerTech to provide electronic poker tables for casinos. What does not initially seem like a big deal really is. The company has the exclusive right to provide the company with all of their electronic poker tables, and that is a lot of tables – especially when they aren’t going to be competing with another company.

Harrah’s has 50 casinos that it owns or operates in thirteen states in the United States, as well as six other countries. The number of poker rooms worldwide that the company runs have more than 450 tables available to their players. The deal will give PokerTech the exclusive right to all of those areas for several years.

They signed an exclusive multi-year contract with the company, which is widely recognized as the largest casino operator in the world. They have not yet announced which casinos the company has decided to put the PokerPro tables in, but there are plenty of locations to choose from.

Gerry Tuthill, Corporate VP of Table Games for Harrah’s said that poker is such a big game, such a popular game, that they expect the new tables to be a huge hit with their clients. He said that because of the boom in poker, more and more people had become familiar with the game, and so they will truly enjoy the PokerPro tables and what they have to offer.
