Poker for Dafur

A big name poker game is coming to town and it is the hottest ticket around. Hollywood mega stars along with some poker players considered stars on their own, will be playing to raise money for Dafur.

The cast of Ocean 13 and Poker Stars are joining together to play a poker game on July 5th, at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The proceeds from the event will be titled “Ante Up for Africa” and will raise money for starving Somalian refugees.

The tournament will have names like Ben Affleck, George Clooney, Matt Damon, George Lopez, Danny Masterson, Mekhi Phifer, Brad Pitt, Ray Romano, Adam Sandler and James Woods on the Hollywood side and Doyle Brunson, Chris Gowen, Barry Greenstein, Phil Laak, Howard Lederer, Mike Matusow, and Erik Seidel on the Poker Stars side.

The event will be hosted by Annie Duke, poker player, and Don Cheadle, actor, so that they can raise awareness of the plight in Dafur, and the event has already raised much awareness because of the names attached to it. Proceeds will go to ENOUGH Project and International Rescue Committee.
