
Casino Dreams
Bill Paulos and Bill Wortman, or the Bill’s as many refer to the
partners – have only been running the Cannery Casinos brand for four
years, but they already have big plans for the name. The 1940’s themed
casino is going to become a household name if they have anything to
say about it.
The two men are planning on making the Nevada Palace their next
target, and that is just the beginning. They are also planning on
linking their Pennsylvania casino with the Cannery theme as well. They
then envision their name brand going out from there – perhaps Mexico,
perhaps internationally to Europe? The two men feel that the sky is
the limit.
They feel that the Cannery name is a good name; that it signifies
comfort and hospitality to people. They say people like coming to them
because it is a place they can relax and not feel intimidated by
either the people or their surroundings. The reason they chose to
remake the Nevada Palace into the Cannery brand is because they know
people know and respect the brand.
The renovation’s budget has not been completed yet, but the two men
know that they are going to have more than 2,000 slot machines,
restaurants, etc. to make it just as upscale as their other
properties, without losing the comfortability that their patrons have
come to expect from them. They say that the Boulder Strip is the best
place to start making some changes as it is in a period of major
growth.
