Cryptologic’s Strong Results

Cryptologic, one of the top online slot machine and gambling software companies in the world, has released their figures for 2006. The company is showing that their revenue, earnings, and their earnings per share have increased. They have much to show for last year’s work.

The company has eight new customer sites, 40 new online games, as well as serious expansion in Asia. Their revenue and earnings went up by 21%, and their earnings went up 24% over 2005, and their figures were equally impressive – with revenue $104 million and earnings $24.8 million.

Cryptologic is wresting, as are all online slot machine and gambling sites, with the loss of their US gambling sites, which made for a tough fourth quarter. However, the company turned it around, as they had already prepped for their licensees not taking wagers from the US, and still showed an increase for the year. They did take a hit from the loss in wagers though, and it was during the fourth quarter which is traditionally their strongest period of the year.

The company had already started focusing their time and efforts on Europe so they were not affected as badly as some others were, but they still had a hard time with it. The company says that they have launched five new customer sites since December and just signed a deal with Holland Casino.
