New Macau’s New Casinos

They are calling it the New Macau as opposed to the old Macau, and when you land on this island you know the difference immediately. Old Macau has the older casinos and New Macau is construction site, after construction site, after, well you get it.

James Packer’s new Crown Hotel is the latest offering to the New Macau gods, one that was highly anticipated. The casino is 36 stories high, and is undoubtedly just as, if not more so, crowded than the others that surround it. Everyone has a casino here, Wynn Resorts, the Sands, etc. – what is it that will make this stand out from the others?

They will have VIP gaming rooms when they are completed, but everyone has those. They have slot machines, poker machines, gaming tables, and hotel rooms, but again, so do the others. The newest addition to the Macau scene has just that going for it – it is the newest addition on the Macau scene.

As you stand outside the casinos the people rush back and forth at a crazy pace that keeps you wondering when do they all stop – but that is Macau. A crazy sort of mixed up Las Vegas, and the Crown Hotel is just the latest addition to the mixture. It is popular for its slot machines and poker tables and everything that it has going for it, but it also is popular because it is new.

Everything in New Macau is new, just some things are newer than others.
