Lucky Day Comin’

This is one of those days that won’t come around for another 70 years, it is the day when all the stars align to make it the most revered of lucky days – July 7th, 2007 – that’s right – 07-07-07 or as some people are referring to it – 7-7-7. You can’t get luckier than triple 7’s on your slot machines – and the fact that they are falling on a Saturday makes it even luckier for the casinos.

Anyone who has ever played the slot machines knows that it is a winning combination to come up with 7’s in a row, and casinos are looking forward to the day with great anticipation. They are lining up their marketing campaigns, hoping that all of those people who believe that this is their day to get lucky, will try to get lucky at their casino.

In Atlantic City, they already know that this year July 7th will be luckier than last, for last year the budget crisis caused the casinos to shut down for July 5th – 7th, causing the casinos to lose millions of dollars in slot machine revenue. They also know that with the holiday falling in the middle of the week that they will get a lot of people who come in on the 4th and stay through that Sunday – which will make their numbers even higher this year.

Casino experts say that this will undoubtedly be a lucky year for the casinos if for no other reason than they are allowed to operate this year. But they also know that you can’t beat a combination lucky 7 day with the 4th of July holiday – it just can’t be done!
