The Longer You Stay, the More You
Lose
It is a fact that the casinos are set up to take your money. Even if
you are playing the slot machines, they are programmed to keep a
certain percentage of any and all money that is pumped into them. You
can be a successful gambler, but you will be in the minority – not the
majority.
The idea is that when you go to the casino, know how long you are
going to go for, and how much money you will spend. As soon as you
reach one of those limits, you must leave the casino. With the odds
stacked against you, you must adhere to your limits.
The smart thing to do is to leave the bank cards, checks, credit
cards, etc. at home, and only walk in the door with the cash you are
prepared to lose. Those that understand what gambling is about know
that when they hit their limit on the amount of money they can lose on
slot machines or table games it is time to leave the casino.
However, everyone knows that there are those that cannot stick to any
kind of limit, and they are the ones that have a problem. The casino
industry usually tries to focus on the glamorous part of the game, but
there is a seedy underbelly to it that you cannot escape. Those that
cannot walk away can get help, but those that can – run, don’t walk to
your nearest exit.
