Isle of Capri Casinos Announces Schedule

Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. announced today that it will delay filing their latest financial reports. The casino company needs to file their fiscal quarter and fiscal year ended April 29th, but will need to postpone that filing. They have been going through restatement of their financial records, and expects to file Form 10-Q/A for the 2007 fiscal third quarter, and Form 10-K for fiscal fourth quarter and year ended April 29th of this year before the end of this month.

The company is expecting to report a loss, which was disclosed in their filing extension. They say that their fiscal year 2007 was a transitional year for the company, and they saw many changes over the course of it. For starters they sold two of their casino properties, developed three new casino properties, and moved their corporate headquarters.

In addition to all of that, their operating results were negatively impacted because of the increased competition that they have had to face and the hurricane damages that their Gulf Coast properties have sustained. They had a lot of re-opening expenses that they had not initially counted on, and pre-opening expenses from their three new casinos.

The company does not expect the trend to continue, and is expecting that this current fiscal year will also be a year of growth, but more financially than physically. The company is determined to continue providing their customers with exceptional gaming and entertainment experiences.
