WSOP Europe Will See Hellmuth, Brunson

The World Series of Poker will see two Hall of Famers join them in London for the chance to win the first WSOP bracelet ever awarded outside of Vegas. Phil Hellmuth holds 11 WSOP bracelets already and says he would love to gain a 12th in London. The eleven time champ will join Doyle “Texas Dolly” Brunson at the UK match.

With pre-registrations opening this week, Hellmuth has made an official commitment that he will be there. He said that he has enjoyed playing in Europe before, and the fact that he could walk away with not only a 12th bracelet but the first one outside of Vegas makes it all that much more attractive to him.

Jamie Gold, the reigning World Champion has also signed on to play, even though he has been eliminated from the Main Event in Vegas. Gold remains the all time biggest dollar win in poker after last year’s win.

The game will consist of three events with the largest being the Main Event. There is a GBP 10,000 buy in and 750 players will get to play. It will be spread over six days and three casinos. The winner will take home the coveted WSOP bracelet as well as cash out of a possible pool of GBP 7.5 million.

The event will be held at Fifty in St. James, The Casino at the Empire in Leicester Square, and The Sportsman at Marble Arch.
