Atlantis Offering Online Betting

The Atlantis on Paradise Island is a casino, a resort, a water park, and an attraction. Now it seems that they are also going to be an online betting venture. The Atlantis’ parent company is Sun International Hotels, and they have signed a deal that will allow them to develop an online betting venture to bring in even more revenue to the company.

Sun International has signed a joint venture with British Telecom to bring the venture to life, as it will help them market it to those potential customers of its Paradise Island’s Atlantis Resort that may not otherwise be able to attend their casino. The deal is between Sun International and British Telecom’s mass market internet division.

In December of 2001, Sun International had formed a company called Sun Online – and that is the company that has signed the deal with BT openworld. The venture will allow them to offer their slot machines and table games in a downloadable format to their potential clients.

This venture makes BT openworld the first ISP to sign with Sun Online. The service is called “Sports & Bets” and they are determined to add casinos (table games and slot machines), sports betting, lotteries and bingo. The company already has 1.3 million customers and this will only help it grow.
