Atlantic City Offering More Choices

Atlantic City’s Casino Control Commission has approved the casino’s applications to start offering electronic table games. This means that instead of sitting at a table with a live person, they can sit at a game and play the same games they would normally play. The new electronic versions will be for roulette and poker.

These games are already offered in Pennsylvania and Delaware, but table games are not legal in those states. Therefore, when they play, there is already a predetermined outcome. With those that are going to be offered in Atlantic City, the outcome will be unknown.

Now casino customers, who may like the idea of a slot machine but want to play poker, will really have the best of both worlds. They can put their money in and play against the machine, but play the game that they would have had to play with a dealer.

The state’s eleven casinos are all ready to start testing them on the casino floors, and if they like them, or if they are a hit with their players, they will be able to offer them on a permanent basis. Industry experts say that they don’t know how the public is going to respond to these games, and they don’t think that they will replace live dealers any time soon.
