It’s Just Not Xmas without Slot Machines

Christmas Day is a day for opening presents, entertaining family, and playing slot machines. Or so it seems at the Tioga Downs racino – they had a much larger turnout for their slot machines than expected on Christmas Day. Employees at the racino had said that they expected the number of customers to be fairly low – as it is one of the biggest holidays of the year – if not the biggest. However, less than an hour after the racino opened their doors, there were more than 200 guests playing the slot machines.

The racino has only been open since July, but they have seen a constant stream of customers every day since they opened, they just assumed that it being a holiday people would not want to play the slot machines. The doors opened at 3 pm and were planning on closing at 2 am, but they thought it would be a fairly quiet evening. The casino said that they didn’t have a previous year to base their traffic on, so they just assumed no one would come. However, their slot machine traffic proved them wrong.

Some of their slot machine players said that they had been there every day since the casino had opened, and weren’t planning on changing that just because it was Christmas. Others said they welcomed the relaxation that playing the slot machines gave them. For those who won, it was an even merrier Christmas.
