Slot Machines Top Stock Pick

Steven Halpern is considered one of the best sources on stocks for the upcoming year, and this year slot machines make his list. Halpern surveys experts in the stock market field and publishes the Top Picks Report. This year, one of the experts’ top pick was slot machines.

International Game Technology made the list this year, from Dan Sullivan, the editor of The Chartist. His take on the slot machine giant was that since they are such a major force in the slot machine industry that they were looking to only get bigger from their current standing. They have such an influence in the slot machine industry, that they have tentacles reaching out into different directions which enables them to be a dominant force.

He felt that because they had so much of the slot machine market already, that they were “well-positioned to benefit from industry growth” – not only in just the United States, however, but internationally. Because of the number of states that have grown into the slot machine industry – either by expansion or legalization of the slot machines – they have positioned themselves to take an even larger share of that growth than they already have. Plus, there are more and more states moving into the industry all the time.

He also pointed out that many of the casinos who already have slot machines are constantly looking to upgrade the ones they have, and this creates a whole other market for the slot machine company. They not only have new revenue coming in all the time, they also have a constant stream from upgrades. He also pointed out that not only are they one of the largest slot machine companies in the world, they are also an industry leader in new technology, which further solidifies their role.
