Slot Machines Quick Fix for Brits

It is no wonder that the average Briton gambles £800 a year – look at the number of lotteries, casinos, slot machines, internet gambling, etc. that is thrust in their faces. Now the government is giving out seventeen more slot machine licenses, many want to know when it will ever end.

The problem is that slot machines are the worst thing to play – there is no skill involved, nothing but luck. People get seduced by the slot machines thinking that if they just put in one more coin, or one more bill, this is the one that will win them the jackpot. Then at some point they have been playing for so long that to leave would be to give up your fortune to someone else. It is absurd to think, but this is the mind of the slot machine gambler.

Slot machines give casinos most of their money – table games give some money but not nearly as much. In Britain it is the same as anywhere else, rows upon rows of slot machines filled with players just trying to hit the big one. Many residents of the country are concerned with the way things are going. They say that there are enough slot machines and places to gamble as it is, why add more – and why add a supercasino with thousands more slot machines. The idea is simply foreign to them.

What they don’t realize, and what the gambling experts do, is that no matter how many slot machines you have, there will always be players for more. It is sort of like Jello – remember the old saying “There’s always room for Jello?” Well, it seems that there is always room for one more slot machine.
