Partners Adding Slot Machines

Gulfstream has announced that they are adding 700 more slot machines to their casino, and they have a partner in the venture. The Florida Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association has partnered with Gulfstream Park in the installation of the additional slot machines. The added machines will provide more revenue for both the state and for the horsemen.

The idea is that by adding more slot machines to the park, they will be able to significantly increase the amount that they have been offering in purse money to the winners of the races. As Gulfstream currently has 516 slot machines in the casino, this is a substantial increase to what is already there. They are allowed a total of 1,500 slot machines in Broward County under law. The horsemen are excited about the partnership and the addition of the slot machines as it will make the track more competitive and bring in higher quality horses to the track.

Gulfstream is excited about the partnership as well, as they know that by adding more slot machines to the park it increases their revenue as well. They benefit by the additional slot machines in more ways than one – but they all have to do with the amount of revenue. More machines means more customers to play the machines, higher purses mean more horses – which means more customers, it truly is a no brainer for both the casino and the horsemen’s association.
