CapitaLand Wants More Slot Machines

CapitaLand has been very busy – opening slot machine casinos all over the world it seems, while still looking forward to other projects. The company just broke ground on their new slot machine casino in Macau, and is already eyeing projects in China, Japan, Vietnam, and India. They are also looking to set up a real estate trust that would assist them with each of these projects.

The company is also looking to possibly partner with Kerzner International, a Bahamas based company who was looking to get a piece of the action in Singapore last month, but it went to Genting International instead. At the groundbreaking, the company talked about their $3.06 billion slot machine casino called Macao Studio City – which will partner them with their former rival Melco-PBL Entertainment. Melco-PBL is a high stakes player in the world of slot machines, so this alliance could bode well for both companies.

Melco-PBL owns one of six slot machine casino licenses in Macau, and they will operate the new casino which will have more than 400 gaming tables and 1,000 slot machines. CapitaLand has slot machine casinos and developments in Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Bahrain, United Kingdom, and Australia.
