Kyiv Wants Legal Slot Machines

The mayor of Kyiv, Leonid Chernovetsky said recently that he was interested in looking into slot machines and gambling in their city. Chernovetsky said that the city state administration was going to look into bringing in legal slot machines for the revenue that they produce.

Chernovetsky said at a roundtable discussion that they are bringing in legal slot machines and legal gambling, and that they would be keeping an eye out for the illegal slot machines that would be attempting to infiltrate the city. Chernovetsky knows that the pattern of illegal slot machines is there, and many do not know which are legal and which are not, so they have to really crack down on the practice.

Chernovetsky also said that he knows that slot machines and gambling have a negative history, and that they are a problem with national morale. That is why they have decided to legalize the slot machines and gambling so that they can keep a tighter rein on it.

The number of gambling institutions in Kyiv has already reached high numbers, Chernovetsky said; and by legalizing it they are adding order to the slot machine industry. They are also “systematizing” the location of slot machines and gambling in the capital.
