Hell’s Angels Had Illegal Slot Machines

During a raid of the Hell’s Angels headquarters, a member was arrested and several slot machines were located as well. The police initially entered the premises in response to a woman being beaten on the sidewalk out front of the establishment. The woman had been in there before she was beaten.

When police arrived, they found illegal slot machines, nitrous oxide, propane, etc. The police came ready for business with a hostage negotiation truck, snipers, etc. all to arrest Richard West. West was not charged due to a lack of evidence, and therefore was released. West is now bringing suit against the NYPD as he says that they are tired of bring the police department’s “piñata.”

The NYPD justified their actions, stating that with a group such as the Hell’s Angels, they needed to take all precautions necessary. Plus, they added, not only did they have the right to go in and see why one of them had beaten this woman; they also discovered the illegal slot machines in the process.

Several in the bar saw the woman before she was beaten up, and told them she would “see them in hell” and left. Not long after she was found bleeding from the head. Her daughter thinks that whoever beat up her mother should be ashamed of themselves – but the best part of the story is that when asked – the leader of the group said, “We don’t beat up broads.”
