Sands Doesn't Affect A.C. Slot Machines

Even with the Sands casino closing in September, slot machine and gaming revenues were up last month. Not only were they up, but they made $401.6 million for the first time. Last November they had set what they thought was the record for slot machine and gambling revenue – but this year they surpassed it by 1.6%.

The slot machine and gaming revenues at Atlantic City Hilton, Trump Marina and Caesars all rose in the double digits. Trump Taj Mahal and Showboat did not fare as well as was expected in as far as their slot machines and gambling revenue, but spokespeople for Trump Entertainment are not concerned, as they know that they are right on mark for what they expected it to be.

The twelve casinos won $297.1 million at the slot machines and $109 million at the table games. As usual, the slot machines outperformed the tables, as most know that the slot machines are the money maker for the casinos. Slot machine revenue was up 2.5%, while tables were down 0.6%. So far, every casino except Trump Plaza has outperformed itself from last year in their slot machine and gambling revenue.
