Approval of Online Casinos Drops

Up until recently, the number of people who were against slot machines and casinos online were a very small number – as compared to the number of people who were for them. However, that has changed as a recent survey has shown. The firm of Luntz, Maslansky Strategic Research has found that approval for online casinos has dropped.

They found that after surveying 800 adults, most of the people responding said that they were in favor of the slot machines and gambling online being legalized. However, only half said that they felt that it was “acceptable for everybody.” They also found that 18% of those responding were against it all together.

The survey usually shows that the majority of people are in favor of the gambling, but the number of opponents is slowly increasing from 15% last year to 18% this year.

They also found that almost 4% of American citizens have played slot machines or gambling online, which is double what it has been in past years. But the average age is younger as well, showing to be 31 and with a higher amount of wealth than the average American does. They think that with the latest publicity that has been coming out about slot machines and online gambling it may be affecting the poll as it has been mostly negative press.
