PA Gaming Board Confused

Pennsylvania has decided to legalize the slot machine business in its state. However, what initially seemed a somewhat easy process has become quite an ordeal for the state. The Governor and the Gaming Control Board seem to think that it is the process of obtaining the slot machine that is much of the problem. They think that by eliminating the so-called middle man in the process that more slot machines will be able to come into the state with less hassle and in less time.

The Gaming Control Board originally set up the process to ensure that all steps of the slot machine production would effectively eliminate fraud within the system. They have since discovered, however, that the extra step is adding to the confusion and back up within the slot machine process.

As the Governor and the Gaming Control Board have both decided that this will speed up the slot machine distribution process, they are waiting for the rest of the state to catch up. Senator Fumo is willing to approve the bill, but has tacked on an additional item, which cuts operators shares from 48% to 44% - which leaves many wondering just what that has to do with the original slot machine bill.
