Mississippi Slots Up and Running

Casino employees and owners are happy again, the slot machines are turning and casinos are up and running in Mississippi, which means slot machine players will be back in droves and revenue will be coming in again. After the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, many were out of work while the casinos tried to fix their businesses and get running again. Everything from slot machines being replaced, to floors and walls with damage – things are getting back to normal. They still face other obstacles however, as the casinos were not the only things damaged in the storm. Most of their housing is gone as well, and that which did survive is going at a premium.

The newly refurbished Beau Rivage has decided to build housing for their employees, which will help a lot. Thousands of employees will be able to live there, which will help both parties. The employees will have a place to live, and the Beau Rivage will have employees. They are not the only ones trying to make a change. The Boomtown Slot Machine gambling barge decided that their employees will benefit from a raise in salaries, and increased their wages 20 percent, which will help tremendously when trying to find affordable living.

Many other employers are following suit, trying to find a way to get their work force back on their feet again, which is helpful to all.
