Michigan Discovers Gambling Parlor

The county of Huron in Michigan is under siege by an illegal gambling parlor! Truth be told, however, the slot machine parlor turned out to be nothing of the kind. The Country Prosecutor Office was tipped off by an anonymous and perhaps disgruntled neighbor, that the 72 year old County Commissioner of Huron County was operating an illegal slot machine parlor in his basement.

As gambling, and slot machine playing, is illegal, the police had no choice but to investigate. They sent in undercover police officers to infiltrate this seedy ring, and when they came to the commissioner’s house, he was having a yard sale. The Commissioner wasted no time in inviting the gentlemen in to play the slot machine! Turns out the commissioner did indeed have an illegal slot machine, however, it was only meant for family and friends to play. All monies lost were either returned back to the player, or donated to charity. Therefore, the County Prosecutor decided not to press any charges against the commissioner, as the tip they received really did make it seem as though something else were going on there.

This is good news for the commissioner, as had he been found guilty of illegal slot machine gambling, he would have received $1000 fine as well as two years in prison.
