FDLE Regulates Slot Machines
The Florida
Department of Law Enforcement has opened a new office dedicated to
regulating slot machines within the state. There will eventually be
several offices, but the first one has just opened in Hallandale
Beach. The state is hoping that by being on top of the slot machines
that they will keep the illegal element out, that is often found in
this type of gambling.
Gulfstream Park
is the home for the new office, and the team has been specially
trained as to what to look out for. Their job is to ensure the
integrity of the games and the millions of dollars that will find
their way into the state’s pockets. Voters have approved the use of
slot machines in each of four Broward County locations, and the team
trained with other states that have already been through this.
Governor Jeb Bush says he is confident that Florida’s slot machines
will be safe and secure.
