Microgaming Moving Forward in UK

Microgaming has lost a lot of business and a lot of money with the passing of the UIGEA, but they say that they are hopeful for the future. They have moved to the UK market and feel that they will be able to more than recoup their losses there – and have hired a new man to head it all up. They have hired former NETeller VP Bruce Elliot to head their business development and marketing department.

Microgaming still gets some money from all but eleven states in the US, but with payment options being so limited for those customers, it won’t be long before that market could find itself closed permanently to them. Roger Raatgever, Microgaming’s CEO said that he and the company were excited about the addition of Elliot to the company and they feel he will be able to expose them to other markets and give them the drive forward that they have been needing.

Elliot said that since he has worked so closely with Microgaming because of his ties to NETeller, he feels that he already knows Microgaming inside and out. He feels that they are one of the “powerhouses” of the online gaming industry, and he is excited to be a part of the next step for the company.

Elliot has also worked closely with other online gambling companies through NETeller, so he brings a wealth of inside knowledge to Microgaming that many coming into his same position would not be able to offer the company.
