In this modern media-rich world there is a magazine or online publication for just about everyone. Every hobby and pastime has a magazine for its fans and every industry has a trade journal for those who make a living meeting the needs and desires of the fans. Of course the same is true of gaming pursuits, where pages are filled with tips, strategies, and reviews of the latest games and casinos. Although the roster is a bit thin, the slot machine industry and its devotees are not left out.

Each month the magazine publishes articles giving advice on such topics as bankroll management for the slots player, tips on the best machines to play, and reviews of popular slot machines and casinos. There are also regular columns and reviews.

“Casino Player” also covers some of the same territory and has at least one issue featuring slot machines, which included a cover story on where to find the “loosest” slots. Both magazines cover the broader gaming scene with an eye to their key audiences. The magazines are some of the largest in the gaming industry and have been around since 1999 in the case of “Strictly Slots.”

Slot Tech magazine

For the industry insider, there is “Slot Tech” magazine. Geared for casino professionals, it was founded in 2001. This magazine is much more specialized and geared to slot machine technicians, slot managers, and engineers. Its readership is global in scope, with subscribers in North and South America, Europe, and the Far East.

Do not expect any light reading in its pages. The articles can be highly technical, focusing on wiring, computer technology, and circuit diagrams. The magazine prides itself on addressing the difficult issues without glossing over the specifics.
